Second appointed ruler of the Seventh Level of Torment, Magara is amongst the most powerful Demons in all of Hell. Being the Lordess of Lust, the Lustful Damned fall to her judgement, purification, and protection. Unlike her predicessor, Sophedeus, and her sister, Ulega, she is just and holds no discrimination towards her charges and servants. Her most trusted and loyal Punisher is General Pigface, one of Hell's greatest military tactical masters.
The term "Lordess" is used in Hell as the equalivalent term to "Lord". The word "Lady" is deemed as inferior and, if used to address a female Demon above the status of commoner, is a grievous insult.

The creative themes I have going for this month by you folks' request are Level 7 (Lust) and Terrace 1 (The Moon). Magara is one of my more, er, "personal" characters, I guess. As a character and creature she represents a few ideals that are important to me, as well as things that make me just shake my head at humanity in general. Though these traits are equally balanced by similar characters, mainly Shopedeus and Ulega, who are two opposites of her. But anyway, I won't bore you all with that.
Beautiful art! I just love all of the detail in the head area. You might want to lower the resolution if you're worried about people stealing it. If the resolution is low, and the size small, they're less likely to take it. (plus, it's too big to see in one shot on a monitor)

Thank you! I had a lot of fun with the head, there are a lot of little things I like to add in whenever I can.
That is very true. But I have found that saving them as a .png also prevents tham from being "save image as"-d, as it will save as a blank document. And by chance if it is taken, I have the date I submitted it here, as well as the original drawing, and orignal dated files that I can use in a case if I must. There are other ways to keep work protected and documented too, and thanks for the suggestions, I will certainly keep them in mind!

Thanks! I love to put details into things like skins and faces as much as I can without drowning out the image. Usually the scarier the creature, the more chances I have of doing that!

She's pretty big, not concrete on her size yet, but an average person is close to the size of a tick-tack compared to her. Oh yes, minty. Flamingly minty. If you can smell it, you're too close.

A brand new monthly article which showcases some of deviantART's finest equine artists, as well as recognizing the lesser-known but equally talented ones. Interviews, helpful tutorials and features can all be found here too! I hope you enjoy it.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
